To celebrate the opening of Blender's sources, and the start of a new life for Blender, the stichting Blender Foundation organizes a three day event in Amsterdam. The Waag Society will host the event, in the 15th century building 'De Waag' at the Nieuwmarkt, city center. Almost all events will be broadcasted live via internet and reported on with articles and interviews at www.blender3d.com.
 

Expected number of participants: 25-50. Closing party: 40-100 people. There will be a three day artist/coder arena, with work stations available (incl. Windows, OSX, Sun, SGI, Linux, FreeBSD). But bring a laptop if possible. A video beamer for sessions and presentations is available as well.

Dutch radio and newspapers have expressed interest in covering the event.

Admission to the three day event is free for donating Members of the Foundation and for ex-employees of the NaN companies. For others: EUR 50. Admission to the closing party is free, and open for everyone. Please susbscribe as well, if you want to participate dinner.

Conference fee is excluding drinks and food.
