Blender Essential course

Description
This course is for everyone who wants to get seriously started with Blender, it is a course designed for artists or teachers who are already familiar with basic 3D concepts or with other 3D software tools, but who are new to Blender or new to  using 3D software professionally. This course will guide you step by step through every phase you need to know how to create and deliver a computer graphics project with Blender.

This course has an emphasis on learning how to deploy Blender as a tool, but for each course day aspects of general 3D skills will be discussed as well, such as mesh topology, animation principles and efficient usage of light on 3d sets.

Prerequisites
An understanding of 3D terminology and concepts is really a minimum, we would advise that you have a general knowledge of these topics before starting the course. We also expect you to have used a 3D tool before, and advise you to download Blender and try some of the free online tutorials on blender.org before attending the course.

Course Room
The Blender Institute is located in the city centre of Amsterdam, in an 18th century former warehouse with beautiful canal view. The courses will be in the main studio, with 8 workstations with large screens available for the students, the studio also is equipped with a video projector. Refreshments and excellent daily lunches are included in the courses.

Teachers and Materials
The teachers are usually selected among the artists who are working on Open Movie/Games projects in the institute. Apart from all digital courses files and examples, the students will get the Essential Blender book. A certificate will be given on completion of the course.
