Sumbissions for the festival will start early August. Please check on announcements on blender.org or this website.
If you organize an event parallel to the Blender Conference, let us know!

Mark in your calendars: the last weekend of October, 25-26-27 October, in Amsterdam "De Balie". End of daylight saving weekend again!
Every year we have a great mix of technical talks, scientific presentations, case studies from studios and workshops by artists and developers from all over the world.
The Blender Conference is really for everyone who's interested in Blender in general. In the past years the conference was visited by 250 people, which is also the maximum we can accept for this venue.
There will be a three day program in a 150-seats theater and an 80-seat smaller room, with a 30 seat third room optional. Usually over 40 presentations or workshops get scheduled.
Also if you want to organize something or just want to help out, use the contact information in the page linked above.
Deadline for submissions is 24 August 2013.
To get an impression of how previous Blender Conferences went you can check on the reports and schedule of conferences since 2004 in the header of this page.
The Blender Conference is being held in De Balie, a late 18th century venue right in the heart of Amsterdam. The costs for hiring the place is partially being covered by Blender Foundation, but mostly by the the visitors themselves.
Tickets include unlimited supplies of coffee/tea and daily lunch!
Pre-ordering will start July 1st, via this website.
