As the director of Elephants Dream, Bassam handled the overall scene breakdowns and editing decisions, while also being responsible for overseeing the animation and acting performances. He worked as a character animator on many of the shots, as well as character modeller, and also did the entire rigging and setup for both Proog and Emo.

Doing toony animations with my latest working character rig featuring everything I learned since project orange. There is much that I've learnt from siggraph and from the plumi guys, and I would never, ever, rig a character exactly like Proog and Emo again. I still use many of the same setups, but I'm building a lot of extra flexibility and control on top. The view is to teach people how to use the controls during the session, with very brief talking about how the rig is constructed, though I'll answer people's questions about that if they ask.
