I was born in 1979 in Paris (France) and my family is coming from Sicily (Italy). I studied mathematics and physics to become an Aerospace Engineer four years ago. I was ever fascinated with all computer sciences, numerical simulations and computer graphic technologies. That was a real revolution for me when I discovered Blender in 2002: Blender gave me the chance to learn these wonderful concepts behind CG but it also helped me to better understand the Open Source philosophy with its huge potential. My PocketPC could not run Blender. Why not finally give something back to the Blender community trying to make it run again on these little funny devices and showing that Blender is so good that it can transform everything in 3D virtual worlds?

BlenderPocket is a project making Blender run on embedded devices. BlenderPocket is today targeting Windows Mobile but other OS are also concerned. This presentation will first provide some key points explaining what was necessary to port Blender on mobile devices. Then, I will focus on the future of this project and some of its applications. Finally, a short demonstration will show how we can work with BlenderPocket.
