The 3D Animation Network is dedicated to introducing Blender and the 3D industry to schools in South Africa. This is done through the ANIM8 program that the 3D Animation Network is administrating for the Andrew Owen School of Art.

AR-Blender is an extended version of Blender which supports the development of content-rich Mixed Reality (MR) applications. Combining virtual and real worlds is complex and time consuming, but many problems in building 3D geometries and building MR applications are similar. Therefore, Blender is a natural candidate for being a part of an MR authoring environment.
