Born in Kansas on January 12th, 1989, Jonathan has been dabbling in art ever since he could hold a crayon. In 2003, he discovered Blender, becoming instantly hooked. Since then he has been actively producing training material for Blender and working as a freelance artist from his home studio.

Jonathan has been very active in the Blender community over the years: he has helped organize and present two Blender conferences in Montreal, one Blender conference in New York, and returned two consecutive years to North Carolina to teach alongside fellow Blender-artists at a Summer camp for junior-high students hosted by Red Hat Linux. He has also been featured in two publications on Blender.

Nowadays, Jonathan is very busy producing and maintaining Blender training material for www.blendercookie.com, teaching at www.mavenseed.com and publishing tutorials for various other sites. He is also in the midst of authoring a book on character development in Blender.

Jonathan works to offer high-quality training through a variety of sources in order to appeal to all audiences. He produces video tutorials for, and maintains Blender Cookie, teaches Blender one-on-one at Mavenseed and travels around the country giving workshops on Blender.
