Hi folks,

A few years ago I performed a survey for my PhD research. I asked 3D artists for their opinion on different 3D software products. This was a scientific research. Recently, I have published a comparison between those products in which Blender stands at a good place. For those of you who are interested, I have published some charts and scores to compare Learnability and Efficiency of 11 software at my weblog:

Thanks for posting this Dr D,

quite interesting results.

Unfortunately, this seems to be quite old in terms of software (2006, Blender 2.36). Any plans to do something alike with 2012's software?

CoDEmanX,

You are right; I understand a lot has been changed in those products since then. I chose this domain due to my interests in 3D art. And I found Blender quite fascinating. Currently I don’t have a plan to repeat this survey, but due to my interests I'll keep it in mind to perform this again as soon as I can.

Regards

Bear in mind the old interface was considered to be a bit of a mess. That’s why it would be interesting to see a more up-to-date study.
