I'm kind of a newbie to Blender, so please explain an answer in terms I can understand!
Anyway, I'm having a problem with hair. I've created the head and face of a character using symmetry. I now need to add hair, so I create a new vertex group called 'scalp' and select all the faces I want the hair to be attached to, then apply the vertex group to the selected faces. Then I create a new particle system, name it 'Hair' and change the particle type to hair. I then change the length of the hair and the density to 'scalp' but the hair only shows up on the opposite side of the head (so basically, the hair is in the scalp shape, but reflected onto the other side of the head).
I can't seem to find a way to fix this problem, because of course, I need hair on both sides of the head!
