i am looking for the mathematical algorithms used for proportional editing and the lattice modifier in blender 2.65.
it would be great to find some explanations which algorithms and equations are used. i think this is not easy. so otherwise i would be happy to find only the source code.
we use blender to map our meshes (needed for fem (finite element method)) from an old geometry to a new one automatically. to get more control in blender it would be good to know in which way blender uses the free form deformation.
would be great to get some information.
