How to install or activate "Geyes" Addon ?

I don't find it listed in the "User Preferences" Addon (menus).

I've downloaded the "script" for it - I'm totally confused as there is no documentation that seems to work.

Any help sure would be appreciated - two days of searching for a texture maker or generator for linux - blender has been round & round with no results;

I thought I might ask the X-Perts in this forum for some advice.

Also - I sure wonder how this "texure thingy" works.

All I have is the .blender scene file which when rendered makes this library somehow functional but I have no idea (without documentation) how to use this.

Some how this thing works but I've spent two days trying to figure out - I better ask the "pros"

Just point me in the right direction please!

Sorry, that was my signature, which I usually try to remove when making short responses. Now fix'd.

As for your problem, I am unable to get the addon to load via built-in 'Install Addon' method either. Ususally this means that the addon is not packaged properly, or its API does not match the version of Blender you are trying to install it on.

I was unable to attempt a manual installation, as I ran out of time before work. Will try further when I return home.

Well I shure appreciate the input - I've seen video's of this in action but it is in two different places in blender in each video.

I am totally lost with this "thingy" and how to make it work from the downloaded package by the author.

Another reason I am so *^&% confuzed is that my info is from:

Another Blender site - Blender Artists' Community is different from t his site.

There is a thread over there about this very subject! So far all I have is questions & no answers! sigh!
