Hi,

I am currently using the Import Adobe Illustrator, PDF, SVG Addon. I have been using this Addon on previous versions of Blender and this is the first time that I have encountered such a problem.

Every time i try to import an .AI file using this Addon the following error appears:

'Problem reading file //VECTOR ELEMENTS/TRIANGLE.ai: Problem reading file or unhandled type'

Before reinstalling Blender I thought that the Illustrator file might be corrupt but it wasn't. I reinstalled Blender and the Addon worked. But when I turned Blender back on a day later the same problem started happening.

I am running Blender on Mac OS X (10.8.2) and my version of Illustrator is CS6.

Can someone kindly help me out with this issue?

If I had to guess, I'd say the importer does not handle that element type. Reinstalling Blender will not fix this.
