I'm new to Blender and I'd like to know how to create thick mud for a character to walk through. It's kind of an important scene where this character crawls and gropes his way through the mud, so it has to be extremely thick and messy mud.

Thanks!

Oh, and I was hoping that maybe this could be done with Blender's fluid simulation system somehow. I don't konw if it works like that or not though.

fluid sim should work I think...

set the character to an obstacle and lower the fluid viscosity to very very low...try it.

Can I set the fluid to start in the shape of a mesh? I don't want to have it look like a box of mud when it starts, it needs to look like an organic, natural situation.
