Hi all,
I am trying to get camera track and trace working for me, but those variables of my cam are killing me.
I want to be able to use pictures and movies.

I own a CANON A2000 IS (just a simple snap cam I know) and would like to get my settings right.
Could anyone please help me out here...?

btw: Buying a new and better camera isn't an option, YET.

Likely there is a datasheet for your sensor somewhere - maybe the manufacturer's website. Google is your friend here.

Yes I have found the data sheet.
But let me explain my little challenge:

according to sheet(s):

Sensor size: 1/2.3" (~ 6.16 x 4.62 mm)
Focal Length: 6.4-38.4mm f/3.2-5.9 (35mm film equivalent: 36-216mm)
Focussing Range: Normal: 1.6 ft./50cm-infinity

but now I need to fill in 2 settings
1) Focal length
2) Sensor width
I've put in 6.4 for a Focal Length, but don't know what I should fill in for a Sensor Width.

I'm trying to lign up the 3D scene with a picture and a movie, but can't get that right.

'Buying a new camera is still not an option, but tempted....'
