I have just finished adding blender support on drqueue, the distributed render queue.

You can visit http://www.drqueue.org

Enjoy.

it'd be nice to have a short description on how this would work. just a small one of the steps required.

Well, you have a master server and one slave on every host on the renderfarm. Then you have a GUI, drqman. With it you can submit jobs to the queue. It supports maya and blender jobs.

You can control processes as well as computers on the renderfarm with the GUI. It has been tested successfully in production environments with maya. With minor work we could even integrate it into blender's GUI.

It is quite easy to use, but if you need help tell me.

Best wishes,

Jorge
