Thanks for the improvements on the UV Image Editor. The shadow option helps alot, for not talking about the faceselect.
What still bothers me is how the 3D View displays the selected faces. Instead of only marking the selected faces with a dotted line, the entire face should be mark with a color. But this will destory the possibility of using the Vertex Paint in combination with the UV Face Select.
A way around this could be made with two ways of displaying the faces. For UV Face Select the faces could be colored entirely. For UV Face Select + Vertex Paint the old selection-rutine could be used. The following image shows this:
What do you think?

@Ghost: your idea is certainly usefull. Better drawmodes are on my todo list (unless someone else implements them before me, that is

). Maybe using transparent faces would be the best solution, like Monkeyboi proposed:

@Bjornmose: Thanks for providing the patch, everything seems to work fine. I've made a one patch of my functions (except undo) that applies nicely onto the patch you provided (there will be some 'Hunks', but it should work). Maybe you could then put them in your build? If you want to commit them to tuhopuu cvs someday, together with your patches, go ahead.

Tuhopuu Undo patch, in case you feel like manual merging

Does this mean you have a linux build ?
How about sharing it?
My box (PII 350 MHz) and the penguin (SUSE 7.2 i think ) on it is outdated so i gave up building this.

Yeah, I'll provide one. Not sure if I've got much bandwith left, but we'll see what happens
