will someone please help me install blender, ive been reading the docs and i dont fully understand them. im using linux and i've d/l'd and unpacked the src. but the docs are tellin me i need to purchse this, i thought this was free source or freeware or somthin. please someone help me....

yes they are opensource those are the ORIGINAL publisher docs.

first there was blender. then there was a c-key a pay for blender.

then it was free again.

then there was publisher another pay blender. along with creator a free version of publisher.

those docs are old. they are before we paid for the sources to get freed.
