Blender's renderer and external renderer export

i couldn'd find how to render a back image as background for my renderings (i use a sky for my architectural models). somebody please could point out where is this feature. thanks _a_

world buttons (same general area as material buttons)

add an image texture, I think you will need to map it to the horizon (or zenigth??) color and map the texture coords in some manner which escapes me at the moment.

You can also set a backbuf image under the Render buttons

or make a large sphere around your scene, flip it's normals and map your sky to it. worked perfect for me, and you have instant viewport feedback.

thanks, it is working with internal blender rendering engine but not with yafray - or i don't know how to use the background with yafray?
as for "a sphere maped with the sky", i was using same trick in formz and lightwave but the result was awfuly long so i gave up and not to eager to try that trick in blender. thanks for all your help guys! _a_
