Perhaps I am a dummy: I did not understand the differences between the BlenderPlugin3D.cab and the BlenderPlugin3D.jar files and how to install both on Linux and Mozilla or Windows and Mozilla or IE6. Please could somebody help me?

Well I have just npBlender3DPlugin.so in my mozilla/plugins/ directory here on my Debian machine. Should work when placing it in ~/.mozilla/plugins/ as well (never tried that, though).

Never used it on Windows yet, but AFAIK the *.cab is the installer for the IE plugin (ActiveX), and the *.jar is for the NS plguin. See the Publisher documentation for more info (available under Documentation on this site).
