Hi!

Please give blender.org a real threaded forum (like Phorum was at blender.nl) and not a board like this Smile (Perhaps then you can read the disussions even with Mozilla Wink

Its.......a message board....non-threaded. What vmx is asking for is somthing threaded (like slashdot, and most mailing list archives.) He's got a good point. I hate javascript and the smileys and the non threadedness. :)

I think the forums are ok and work for the stuff they were intended to. Why would you nead a threaded forum?

This is great I personally hate the threaded structure of the text based lists and prums, those are old technology.

Mozilla 1.1 here on Redhat 7.3 (soon to be 8.0 YEAH!)
Runs like a dream so can your conplaining and provide error information!

Great website, but it could use a decent download section like sourceforge has.

Lets get it together here people!

I actually like Elysiun's a bit more. Way easier on the eyes.

For the moment, we have to cope with what Timothy (Kib_Tph) is most familiar with, and he uses the same forum software on http://elysiun.com/ . This probably will not change, but there were discussions during the conference (and some hints in the blender dot org document on http://www.blender3d.com/ ) about providing mailing lists on blender.org in the future. This might be what free software developers are more used to than forums in general.

Funny, phpBB has become a defacto stanard with message boards.

Although I still the older 1.4.x installed on all my sites. And if it ain't broke, don't fix it.

For me this forum is real okay. It's quite fast and can also be accessed via a slow dial-up connection. And I also think it's not as confusing as a text-only one would be for beginners.
