I m looking to make a simple 2D game
I know I m in the wrong place for "flat" games Rolling Eyes
Does anyone know an easy (like blender) to work with free 2D engine?

These are libraries, tho', not actual game creation engines in and of themselve - you'll still need to know some basic programming. The community page at the Kyra site has some links to games in progress, which may or may not help you... Good luck!

i also thougth about this, and no, you're not in the wrong place. Cool an orthogonal camera would make a wonderful 2d game engine (no need to dance, it's not implemented in the game engine). i sometimes use this kind of camera to render flat presentations (it's nice to see the people's response, because blender gives presentations a high-quality look and not that corel-draw1.0-style like powerpoint does).

btw. does anyone remember autodesk animator? a 2d keyframe renderer from the good old 320x200x256 days... is it in the web somewhere? could be very usefull to create animated textures,
