I was wondering if we will be seeing a node based particle system in Blender, much like the Particle Flow found in 3ds max. Not being a programmer myself, I can't appreciate what level of complexity this would be to program or if it is even possible.

If its an idea, been rejected, been tried, I would love to know.

I am beginning to get to grips with the new Blender 2.5 and am looking forward to one day reaching my goal of producing an animation of my own.

Thank you for your help. Very Happy

If you are talking about particles and 3ds max you better(for blender) talk about Thinking particle, some studios use 3ds max because of it and fumefx, not that particle flow is bad . blender could talk ideas from both worlds particle flow is fast , efficient and event based, thinking particles is relatively complicated, very advanced and rule based, both are node based.
