On the "links" page of the Blender.org website, there's a link to "Blender Chat", which presumably used to link to a site about Blender, but nowadays it links to a site about blenders. Kitchen blenders. The kind you make margaritas with. This may just be deja vu, but it seems to me that I've clicked on it before, and it's been that way for some time now.

Just thought someone should say something, so that the link can be removed. Not that Vitamix doesn't make a quality blender too. I mean, I guess I shouldn't knock it till I've tried it.

Seems to work here (in Opera). Link shows as:
http://www.blender.org/community/chat/

Maybe something is hijacking your browser?

I hope not. Still, I suppose if someone has "haXXored my kUrnAl", I should be glad I'm just being redirected to a site about how my smoothies can be made more efficiently rather than having my bank accounts cleared out.

Are we navigating to the same place? I'm clicking the "Community" link on top of the blender.org page, which takes me to, let's see... "http://www.blender.org/community/user-community/". Then I'm scrolling down to the "Blender Chat" paragraph, between the ones for "Blender Cookie" and "Dark Scarab", and clicking on the accompanying icon. That takes me to "blenderchat.com", which is where the status bar says it should take me.

Using Firefox on Win 7, with NoScript in "forbid all" mode... hopefully my diligence is due enough, but I'm never really sure.

Ah, that is a community link. Apparently blenderchat.com is no longer.

Up at the top of the User Community page is a link for just this purpose. The one that says:
Note: If you find a broken link, please let us know.

Note: freenode.nt, where the official blender chat channels are hosted, now has a web client interface, which makes things like blenderchat.com unnecessary.
