Hey all,

I'm having a little trouble understanding how I can texture my model when the faces are all broken up like this http://img221.imageshack.us/img221/1729/texturehelpb.jpg

I don't know why it looks like that, it's just a curve converted into a mesh and I have no idea how to start texturing it. I don't even know what it's called to even google the issue heh.

Could anyone help?

Yeah, that happens. I don’t know if it’ll be better with BMesh, but the basic answer for now is “don’t do that”. Start by blocking out your shape directly as a mesh, starting with a simple, angular one, and making it more curvy by applying a Subdivision Surface modifier. Don't start with curves or paths or NURBSes or anything like that.

Thanks, but I found a way to do it from blenderartists.

Had to just ctrl-L the faces from front view, then unwrap and choose 'project from view' and it worked. Smile

Sorry, forgot to mention, you can also try applying the new Remesh modifier.
