cmake warning/error xcode4

Postby rboerdijk » Fri Feb 17, 2012 10:35 pm

I get the following warning when using cmake - any ideas on how to solve this?

-- Detecting CXX compiler ABI info - done
CMake Warning at CMakeLists.txt:252 (if):
given arguments:

"Unix Makefiles" "MATCHES" "Xcode" "AND" "(" "VERSION_EQUAL" "4" "OR" "VERSION_GREATER" "4" ")"

Unknown arguments specified

I got it to compile - for reference:
comment out the line with the "MATCHES" and a few lines lower the line with #endif. Now it will always use GCC - which is exactly what I want on my mac with xcode 4 installed. Cmake works again.

# if(${CMAKE_GENERATOR} MATCHES "Xcode" AND (${XCODE_VERSION} VERSION_EQUAL 4 OR ${XCODE_VERSION} VERSION_GREATER 4))
# Xcode 4 defaults to the Apple LLVM Compiler.
# Override the default compiler selection because Blender only compiles with gcc
set(CMAKE_XCODE_ATTRIBUTE_GCC_VERSION "com.apple.compilers.llvmgcc42")
message(STATUS "Setting compiler to: " ${CMAKE_XCODE_ATTRIBUTE_GCC_VERSION})
# endif()

Why not submit a patch?
