Hi, my name is Chris and I have just found out about blender today. A few things I love about blender and I haven't even used it is, 1. It's FREE 2. the file size is so low, compared to adobe or maya.
I will learn about Blender and how to use it, some of the animations I've seen look really good. Can't wait to learn how to get started. Anyone recommend a place to learn tutorials?
Also Is blender capible of learning how to create animation like naruto, and the other japanese type animations?
Here is an excellent source for beginners:
There are video as well as PDF and other tutorials and exercises. Everything is explained in great detail. Later, you can also go to blendercookies, but those are more advanced. I think it's REALLY important to learn the basics from the link above. Many things in Blender will give very different results if you happen to be in the wrong mode or even view orientation, etc. so it's important to learn how to navigate around the blender user interface.
Good luck with Blender.
