In this topic you can get support for svn, and we will post updates and news here.
For time being the schedule is that we close the projects site on thursday 10, and migrate on friday 11th, and have it back running on the 11th or 12th.
What wil happen in more detail is:
- projects.blender.org moves to new server (much faster!)
- gforge software on that site gets upgraded
- all projects move to svn (automatic converted, including history)
- ssh keys will be cancelled. "svn login" used instead

Hi Ton
I used to build code every day, with cvs update as you guess (on linux).
I don't know anything about svn, and particulary with blender...
So is there any wiki page or something like this for me, to do such a conversion to svn system ?
Thanks a lot, we all love you Ton you know hehe

Checkout:
svn co URL
where URL is the repository for blender (yet to be published)
after that updates are retrieved with
svn up
so, cvs is essentially replaced with svn. See
http://svnbook.red-bean.com/nightly/en/svn-book.html for more info on SVN.

That`s great news. Bug tracker was always soooo slow.
But if it`s done yet? I`ve found a bug in latest blender release, tried to login to projects.blender.org and I get this message:
Access to the project site has been denied; we are moving & upgrading GForge to a new place.
I just have to wait or is there something wrong?

Hi all !
Even if the CVS is still working for me, i really wish i could get used to the new SVN method !
Unfortunately, i haven't been able to retrieve any info on the "URL" as pointed out by JesterKing in a previous post of this thread...
Is it because this URL isn't actually available for the "public", or is it because i didn't search in the right place ?
Thanks for looking, and BTW, Blender is GREAT !!
Thanks to all the coders for the fantastic work !
Cheers,
Laurent aka Tartiflette (or 89ers here...)

Thanks a lot !
Strangely, when i click on the link for the SVN usage on this page :
http://www.blender.org/development/building-blender/
It redirects me on this page :
http://www.blender.org/development/
If someone maintaining the website can have a look at it...
Thanks for reading !
Cheers,
