Hello,
I was trying to download blender 2.45(?) for my Macbook Pro (intel) and the download links are all broken. I tried visting
http://download.blender.org/ but I get a "page not found" error.
ALSO
I managed to get it from the Germany link, but when I launch blender it immediately quits. I have a Macbook Pro, all current updates (10.4.10). What could be causing this problem?
thanks,
Aaron

Lots of broken links could be a network problem.
Your
http://download.blender.org link currently returns
"Please visit
www.blender.org for finding links...
browsing is disabled temporally."
Take that as a hint.
As for blender not running, try starting it from the command line. Often on OSX, there is a problem with incorrect Python versions.

Thanks, but actually no links to download.blender.org work, even FROM the blender.org site. Try it. Yeah, and the Germany link says it's 2.45 but when you unpack it, you have 2.44 (py2.3). Still no launch.
Solutions?

Tried again (w/ 2.44) from the command line, blender isn't identified as an executable. Still, I've never had this problem with blender on Mac before. As said, the d/l links aren't working so I can't get a copy of 2.45-py2.3 to try.
Also, the "blenderplayer" app isn't recognized as an application by OSX.

One more thing, d/l'ed the PowerPC version (2.45-pv2.3 from USA link) and it works fine (in rosetta). That pretty much limits the issue to the Mac intel version.

I did try it. The sample of links (not all!) I tried earlier all worked from the b.org download pages, hence the suggestion of network issues on your end.
Just tried some of the osx links now. All seemed good.
For the record, Blender 2.45 was officially released earlier today. Release notes are up. Lots of bugfixes. Congrats to all.
