Hello!
I was wondering if there is someone scoring Apricot yet, or if it still needs music. I would love to participate, so please let me know! (or maybe this isn't even the right time or place to ask...)

Thank you!
Max

Hi! Yes of course we really count on community outsourcing. Do you have your website ? Yes it's little bit early, but we have pre-production workshop soon and we will start planning everything there and forming remote team as well.

Yes, but it is nothing huge. I have the "My Music" section under the "Music" menu at http://BernsteinForPresident.com.

Thank you!!! Very Happy

I as well would like to participate in scoring the music for Apricot or Peach. I don't have a website with audio files, but I can email audio snippets to anyone that gives me their email address.

One final question to any other composers out there that are interested ( based on the presumtion that the final project is the product of collaboration): Do you use any engraving software (such as Finale or Sibelius). If, in the end, there is collaboration on the project, these programs are less than compatible Sad so in that case, if the composers do use different engravers, they may have to rely on the less than impressive "music-xml" format (if memory serves, I heard though that Sibelius can open Finale files, but I know Finale cannot open Sibelius files *stupid proprietary file formats*)

I use Finale, but I run it in a VM. My computer runs GNU/Linux. I could use Rosegarden or Canorus/Noteedit if need be. I would be interested in doing a collaboration.

Peach needs music too?

I assume it would, but I have no idea if it does or not...sorry!

Also, I have a question about the music performance aspect (for anyone to answer):
I doubt Peach would use a midi realization, so how would the music be presented? I don't really get much opportunity to use Rosegarden (I use Finale natively on Windows and through WINE on Ubuntu), but I am guessing it does not use real instrument sounds. In any event, would the music be through live human performance, or through an alternative medium?

It might. I don't see anyone listed for music on the peach site, but I do on the orange site. http://peach.blender.org/index.php/the-team/

Elephant's Dream used something similar to GPO. See "Sound Libraries" at
http://www.wavemage.com/studio-en.html. Therefore, it would probably be computer-generated music, unless someone can finance a recording session (or else if someone has a lot of musician friends . Very Happy )

Any more news on this subject yet?

I am in the process of uploading some compositions to a website (archive.org). I'll put in a link when I finish.
