is there any plan to create also a usefull renderman shader creation tool
for blender for the os x port?
i know that there is a pc version that works externaly creating and compiling shaders for renderman compatible render engines like 3delight or aqsis?
That's what I'm working on. I hope this will see the light of day in a window inside Blender, but as I just started a new job, I don't have a lot of time and interest in coding at the moment. Maybe I'll put the sources online. At the moment it's windows only, but it runs perfectly on linux using the wine emulator. I started support for VirtuaLight, which is very alike Renderman. And now I'm mainly targeted at YafRay, which is in my eyes the best renderer at the moment. Renderman support could be added in the future. Also, my material system is being coded into YafRay as the material interface.
So there's more than plans
