Hi;
I have found a few tutorials on the web that mention using
intersection. They usually say Edit Buttons [F9] hit the
"intersection" button. But I do not see it.
I have tried blender-2.26 and now blender 2.27 on FreeBSD.
One site mentioned that this was a "C-Key" feature. Is that
still true? Will intersection be introduced to the Free version?
If there is no intersection yet, how would you go about making
a hole in an object. ie, say I have a plane (a wall) and want to
make a window (a hole).
Thank you for your time.
Hi,
The 'intersect' button was removed because the function had some bugs and sometimes caused crashes. The new boolean system was implemented instead, which usually works much better.
There's some documentation on how to use the booleans here:
http://download.blender.org/documentation/html/mesh_modelling_booleans.html
That works great, thanks.
One interesting thing is that after using a "difference" between two
objects to make my window, it leaves a little "flap" on the outside
that needs to be folded back in to re-close the inside edge of the
window.
Very cool.
