Does anyone know when the 'sphere' UV Calculation is coming back? If it is coming back?
Is anyone working on some more advanced UV unwrapping tools for Blender?
I have tried the OBJIO script and that works nicely in 2.23 to get UVs out to UVMapper, but the script doesn't work without the Blender210 import.
How about A native exporter / importer to obj ?
I downloaded a demo of Deep UV and was drooling over the tools there. (I can't afford 800 bucks, thats for sure) Blender is about one step away from being just as powerful, Just wondering if anyone else was looking for these features.

personally I uv unwrap with wings, and export with a vrml&uv plugin
(have to import in publisher, but no problem)
UV "sphere mapping" should be back in the next official release.
