I was wondering if any of the Blender Game Engine developers had glanced at video demos from the upcomming Halflife2 game. Did Halflife 2 spark any ideas in your mind for the new Game Blender? I loved that realtime radiosity and those dynamics.

it is not realtime radisity

(and the shadows have more than a few problems)

the dynamics are done well, the texuturing is superb, the lighting is excellent, but the shadows have problems

nice that it will run on dx6 (tnt2) systems

I personally like their "true IK" which means that the feet of the characters always are on the ground, not under, or above it, no matter how non-level the ground is. WOuld be difficult to implement.

the radiosity-based-lighting is nice, but would also be difficult to implement. (the characters are lit like they should be to fit into their environment, based off the radiosity solution for lighting)

Ill be playing with hl2 in the future, maybe blender will play a part in it's future (animating/creating characters)?? We'll see
