I'd like to set up a Tinderbox system again, the one we used internally at NaN proved very useful.
For those of you that do not know what a Tinderbox system is; it is an automated multi-platform build system reporting tool. See http://tinderbox.mozilla.org/showbuilds.cgi?tree=SeaMonkey for an example.
When a build bombs on a system you can get via Bonsai a so-called blame-allocated view of not only the file in CVS, but also who caused it and with which commit.

I'm looking for people with Tinderbox experience who are willing to help setting it up (and Bonsai and LXR too which are needed by Tinderbox).

When that is done we of course need at least 1 volunteer per platform willing to have a tinderbox client running periodically (see intern/tools/tinderbox/tinderbox-blender.pl).

So any volunteers ? Or should we not try Tinderbox at all ?

I'm all for it. I have used similar systems (e.g. aegis, http://aegis.sourceforge.net) in the past, but not Tinderbox specifically. What requirements (CPU, bandwidth) are placed on a host running Tinderbox client?

Any smoke test is a good thing. And having a system that always builds is a good thing.

LXR is nice, but I would rather use Doxygen /w the cgi serach engine. I've already setup locally and it's a big help. Of course since LXR & Bonsia are both needed for Tinderbox I guess we won't get away without it

Perhaps we could have both systems running in parallel since they do different things.

If you need any help I'm up for it. The more code tools & documentation we have the better.
