I would like to build blender 2.5 under RedHat 5.3 , is that possible?!
upgrading Python, will need upgrading glibc, and that should not be done.

Why do some developers build their code against a new versions of Fedora, ubunto and Suse!!
although any build that work with redhat should work with any other higher version operating system, taking in account that redhat is already stable too much than any others, and we should use it for our professional systems.

any comments about that ?!
