Hello there!

I am trying to use blender to produce a map of material properties of an object, for example. I am modeling a tank and I want to assign each part a temperature and export the tank as viewed from a camera as a temperature matrix. What I am thinking of is assigning each material a color and then edit the matrix manually in an external program such as Matlab, but I would like a better method. Any ideas on how I could do that?

This is an example of an image, but I would like a customized matrix that maps each parts' temperature (or another properties)
