I've been using Blender 2.5 for a few weeks to model some WWII aircraft. I was just modelling a Spitfire exhaust in edit mode, I used the solidify modifier on an uncapped cylinder and the fuselage, wings, nosecone and prop have gone. They're still on the scene tree, but they don't exist anymore.

WTF happened?

This was paid work. I think I'm going to kill myself.

Crying or Very sad

Is there a way to make sure this never happens again (besides going back to 3DS) just in case I don't kill myself?

So unhappy.

EDIT: The stuff went to another workspace?! So, er, I'm not dead.

Can anyone tell me what did I press to do that, and how do I put things back?

Sounds like you moved them to another layer.

Note you can also hide objects.

Thanks SirDude!

That's what I'd done. Not sure how I did it though... I remember hitting 7 instead of Num7 while I was in edit mode, I assumed nothing had happened.

It was probably that?!
