I worry that the Blender maintainers are not able to keep track of bugs properly through the bug tracker.

My main concern right now is this bug http://projects.blender.org/tracker/?func=detail&atid=498&aid=25644&group_id=9, which was prematurely closed without proper resolution. I spent a couple of days looking into it, and came up with a very simple fix. But to date, I haven’t got any indication that anyone has even noticed.

Earlier there was an ongoing mixup between these two: http://projects.blender.org/tracker/?func=detail&atid=498&aid=25648&group_id=9 and http://projects.blender.org/tracker/?func=detail&atid=498&aid=25641&group_id=9, in spite of my repeated attempts to try to straighten things out. And some patches referenced in the latter seemed to remain unnoticed until I filed three further bug reports http://projects.blender.org/tracker/?func=detail&atid=498&aid=25791&group_id=9, http://projects.blender.org/tracker/?func=detail&atid=498&aid=25790&group_id=9 and http://projects.blender.org/tracker/?func=detail&atid=498&aid=25792&group_id=9 to get them individually noticed.

I hope I won’t have to keep doing this kind of thing...

If you are filing multiple bug reports about the same problem, we also hope you will not keep doing it. The operative phrase here is "signal to noise ratio"
