you have to extract the file as i could not upload it unzip'd, after extracting copy to addon folder or use interface and imstall from that feature.
Good Luck :P
Nice my fisrt post here. Thanks for that packaging Steven. I am having trouble getting my head around the other Bevel addon mentioned in post two of this thread. The instructions seem to be missleading as there is only one _init_.py file to dowload.

Anyways this zip file made it real easy to get Beveling back again.

Of course, it might help if you asked a question first. :)

Sorry for being too cryptic but I will stick with finding out from somewhere else. Thanks

For questions about using Blender, you can go to the forums at blenderartists.org . You passed it on the way in.

The Blender development forums are basically about Blender development.

Well, it wasnt a question, and you managed to get it working with the zip file, so there wasnt much need to update the wiki page....

Instructions on the page in question....

Download the files from the link above, keeping the same file structure.

The structure should look like this:

..\Mesh_Bevel\__init__.py
..\Mesh_Bevel\va\__init__.py
..\Mesh_Bevel\va\gl.py
..\Mesh_Bevel\va\math.py
..\Mesh_Bevel\va\mesh.py
..\Mesh_Bevel\va\utils.py
..\Mesh_Bevel\va\view.py

Be sure that you have both __init__.py files, they are not the same.

The link in question was https://svn.blender.org/svnroot/bf-exte ... esh_bevel/

Containing the files...

* __init__.py <---- #1
* va/

Inside the 'va' subdirectory, as shown in the directory structure above..

* __init__.py <----- #2
* gl.py
* math.py
* mesh.py
* utils.py
* view.py

Sorry if that was too cryptic.

Yes it is still cryptic as there is not a __init__.py <----- #2 file to be had following the link. Well to be precise there is no information in the __init__.py <----- #2 folder. No text and 0 KB of information. This why I mentioned it.

The zip file in question is for another bevel tool not this one. That is what I got from page one of the thread. Anyways I am going to forget it as I have the other bevel tool and it will do for me at the moment. But thanks all the same for teying to help.

It may seem weird to you, but this is how python marks it's modules! __init__.py files with nothing in them still serve a purpose (they are flags that say "hey, I'm a module!")

Can't answer the other stuff, just thought you might like to know :D
