I already have the appropriate tools for importing source models and animations, but I'd like to know if anyone can help me port source maps/levels into blender, like in the video.

The only way I know is to use the SourceSDK map editor
Hammer, with the
Propper tool to render maps (or pieces of them) as SMD. Then import those with the
Source SMD Tools addon.
I used that technique to help a mapper with some custom models.
He sent a chunk of the map to me, so I could scale my model correctly to fit his room.
