There have been recent posts that look suspicious as 'testing' without actually advertising. Usually necro posts that very generically say 'Thanks this really helped me' but who creates an account just to do post that?

There have been recent posts that look suspicious as 'testing' without actually advertising. Usually necro posts that very generically say 'Thanks this really helped me' but who creates an account just to do post that?


There is a magic IP button that shows who,where, and other users posting from the same address. Interestingly, posts from a certain IP block are almost invariably spam - except for a handful that are from real users discussing some very technical issues.

The necro thank-you posts are pre-spam (is that a word?) and get deleted.
