Hi guys !

I have a display problem using Blender 2.5 alpha 2 (and every test bluids I've downloaded so far) : I can't see the menus !

It looks like this : screenshot.

My drivers are up to date and it doesn't solve this problem.

Any idea or anybody wih the same thing ?

Hi!

I'm very happy because I've solved my problem in a very easy way!
And the solution is so stupid (it really works for me) : when I download a new build of Blender, I don't put it on my primary partition disk (C:), but on an other partition (which is D:). So I guess Blender has some problems with this!
When I move the folder to the C: partition, it works perfectly!

I'm getting the same problem in the RELEASED version, Blender 2.57.
I'm installing on Windows 7, 64-bit.
I've tried installing both the 32-bit and 64-bit versions of Blender, using the Windows installers. Both are broken.

I've tried removing all old versions of Blender, both the Program Files part and the AppData part. I still don't get a menu bar.

It's really hard to view the error messages, now that Blender hides the text console window. But if I exit Blender and hit PrtScr to get a screen capture fast enough, I can sort of see some of them. The text console is fading out and has gone translucent at that point, so it's barely readable. But I can make out this:

python line lookup failed, interpreter inactive
Unknown operator WM_OT_url_open.
OperatorProperties.url not found

I have the same problem, but when I run blender as admin, then it works...

Typical suggestions from developers include reinstalling, installing in a different place, running as admin, switching to a different OS, switching to a different graphics card, and sacrificing a chicken.

Unfortunately, there's no real pipeline from Blender 2.5, only 2.49. A project was started recently aiming to create such an Egg exporter (it won't be a Chicken port as that's not possible) and Collada support is underway for Panda 1.8, but at the moment -- Blender 2.5 is out of limits, sorry.

i have the same problem on blender 2.6.1 . and still don't know how to do. anyone can help me ?
