How do I change FPS?

Postby abyss2455 » Thu Feb 09, 2012 6:16 am

Hello, How do I change the frame rate? I have looked everywhere and can't find the option. My character is walking at about 5 FPS....... 24 would be nice.

http://wiki.blender.org/index.php/Doc:2 ... yback_Menu

According to that link.... under Playback Menu "Set Frames/Sec – This will pop-up a numeric field where you can specify a new fps setting." However when I click on Playback the option is not there. as a matter of fact NONE of the options that it says are there, are there.

The render dimensions are set to 24 fps, however when I click play on the timeline it plays at about 5 fps, so I know that has nothing to do with the actaully framerate of the timeline.

plz help. thank you

I'm using blender 2.61

Try seeing your 'Sync Mode' to 'Frame Dropping' instead of the default 'No Sync'. In NoSync mode, it will attempt to display every frame, no matter how long it takes for them to render. Your machine may not be able to display the animation at full speed in real time.

The Render FPS setting will only affect the final rendered framerate.
