I know this seems really stupid, but I can't find a way to edit a primitive in my scene after I selectan other object.
simple exemple :
>click Add >click Mesh >click Sphere > oups! I click on my camera now, and didn't change the segments of my sphere.
Can you tell me a way to change thoses basic settings after deselect a primitive ?
thanks.

you can't, they are only available on creation, and that panel where you can set those properties is actually the redo-panel - as you edit the properties, the primitive gets removed and re-created from scratch!

i wondered me many times, why there is no possibility to keep that options for primitives - even when changing the object context and come back later.
why not put these options to the top of the modifier stack - (but than, it should not be possible to move it up or down in the stack - only appla should be available)
or where there already feature requests for that - but where rejected?

don't really think you need these properties available later in blender, if you do, you better use a CAD app. Dunno if anyone proposed to add modifiers for basic geometric bodies... you should ask the devs on IRC.

I asked that just because in 3D SMax before you transform your object into an editable mesh you can still add some edges to your object, it's usefull wen you place many objects and you don't know exactlly wat will they look like... Anyway, thanks for your active feedback !

you can use a NURBS sphere and adjust the preview settings. You can't set exact number of columns/rows, but still, you can change the settings as long as you don't convert the NURBS object to mesh.
