hi guys,
i wanted to build blender 2.63a for solaris 10 sparc , as i have many sparc hardware in my lab.Please can u guys tell me the pre-requisited for this and how to go ahead.
Any help will be great.Thanks in advance

Might be easier to install Linux.

i can't coz on sparc harware i can only install solaris .any one have tried compiling blednder on solaris psarc?

It should be do-able (with some amount of work!). You will need Python 3.2, OpenGL drivers and all the dependencies built for your platform.

You most certainly can install Linux on SPARC, e.g.
http://www.debian.org/releases/stable/sparc/. Given that you’re unfamiliar with building Blender, you’d be better off using a supported OS
