Hi there,
I'm trying to build the current stable release (2.63a) of Blender on Ubuntu 64bit.
I obtained the source from here:
http://download.blender.org/source/blender-2.63a.tar.gz
I successfully built and ran the application.
But comparing it to the pre-built ZIP installation for Linux 64bit I find it is different!
Surely it was meant to produce the same release?
The splash screen was never updated from 2.63 to 2.63a, so that is no indicator I know.
The ZIP build gives an r48... number.
The build from source says "rexporte" instead.
On the ZIP build I have full Cycles/CUDA support.
The source build has no option for CUDA. I can only use my GPU by selecting OpenCL and also "Experimental" features. So all in all it seems to be a slightly older version.
Has the wrong source tarball been labelled as 2.63a?
Many thanks in advance.
