Since there's no official 2.65 (nor 2.64) for Mac OS X 10.5, I tried downloading a build from http://builder.blender.org/download/ . Well, I tried it several times now, and each time, Cycles does not show up in the render dropdown menu, and in the Addons menu it's listed under 'Missing script'.
