Game renders at wrong resolution at fullscreen

Hi! I'll try to be as specific as possible:

* Win7 32 + latest NVIDIA drivers (for 9500GT) + any version of Blender

The standalone player gives me 1680x1050 instead of 1920x1080, and 1280x800 instead of 1280x720.

* Win7 32 + old NVIDIA drivers ...

I get the resolution I want, but no vsync and the tearing is unbearable.

With Win7 64 I get the same wrong resolutions but I haven't tried any old drivers.

Any idea what might be happening? I don't even need to upload a file since as soon as I create a new file and start the standalone player with the default cube (GLSL shading) the only way to get the resolution I ask for is in window mode. I export it as runtime and nothing changes.
