Need help finding or making 3d organs.

Postby Masterjohn74 » Fri May 25, 2012 3:02 am

I need help for making a 3d kidney and lungs for a school project. I am hoping to use this to show the excretory system and using animations to show how it works.

Since Blender supports the STL format used by 3D printers, this is just a matter of modeling the structure, exporting it in STL and printing it out.

Note: trafficking in human organs is prohibited by law in many jurisidictions.

Hi Stiv!
in this thread
http://www.blender.org/forum/viewtopic. ... c&start=15
you can find the piece with only the internal organs from BodyParts 3D.
There should also be a kidney inside.

Unfortunately I'm not sure the link still works, as it asks for registration. Looks like the rules for 4shared have changed.
:)

if you need an undecimated file, you can find here
http://www.box.net/shared/z14r2tofxp

a 22 mb blend file with all the internal organs.

The tread with the whole discussion is at

If you need a higher resolution you can find at
http://upa.ucr.ac.cr
in the folder blender, a file with kidneys and lungs only made just for you :)
