1 (which OS?):
Blender is cross platform (mac linux pc bsd ) so choose whichever you like.

2 (hardware + software?):

Certainly, we all wish we had cad/3d workstation class processors and dual sli nvidia cards, but manage with laptops and crappy onboard video drivers. lol good computer runs good.

3 (how much experience?):

As per other skills such a pro tennis or violin playing, about 10,000 hours.

4 (how many people?)

Start with one, then add as many more as you are able.

freeBSD? good on you!

http://graphicall.org/freebsd has freebsd builds. unfortunately the last freebsd build posted appears to be feb 17th, 2012.

user http://graphicall.org/xglasyliax is the only one compiling for bsd. AFAIK you should be able to compile your own without *too* much trouble. I haven't much experience with BSD's lately ( other than Darwin/ OSX). Compiling for cycles requires NVIDIA's CUDA toolkit be installed.

from this page http://www.mentby.com/Group/freebsd-questions/recommended-nvidia-card-for-cudaopencl-on-freebsd.html
Quote:

Currently, it's necessary
to run the CUDA SDK and Toolkit under Linux emulation or chroot, despite the
fact that the NVIDIA drivers for FreeBSD include CUDA support. According to
this, http://blogs.freebsdish.org/jhb/2010/07/20/using-cuda-with-t[..]
you still need to compile the CUDA apps under Linux, where the SDK is. Only
after that you can run the binaries on FreeBSD.

as for video card? i have heard good things about gtx570's and that specifially for blender nvidia GTX cards above 570 waste compute cycles on precision which blender doesn't need (or something like that).

1 : operating system?

Linux. Unless you are tied to some other software that runs only on Windows. Which distro, is not really important.

2 : computer Hardware and Software for best result?

AMD or Intel, your choice. be sure to get at least 8GB of system RAM, 16 GB even better. If you will be rendering with the GPU, then pick the Fermi 5xx series, the new Kepler 6xx gives you less performance per $. GTX 560 / GTX 570 / GTX 580 will do.

Absolutely pick a GPU with at least 2GB or more VRAM!

3 : how much knowledge in blender?

A lot. Be prepared to invest months in learning. Especially if you dont heave prior knowledge of CG.

4 : how many personal to work(graphic designer,programmer,modelling etc.)?

The project as you describe it is not do-able by one person in a "normal" time frame (say, a year). You'll need someone to work on modeling, someone on riggin / animating, textures / materials, postproduction... 3, 4 people atleast, the more the merrier . Smile
